Our NFL Spot Play comes with tonight’s prime time game between the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the home team New York Giants. The Bucs are laying a bunch of points and rightfully so. They have looked pretty solid on both sides of the football, and a lot of people have been talking Super Bowl for the Tom Brady-led team. On defense the Bucs have been awesome more weeks than not. Five different times they have held their opponent to under 20 points.
The New York Giants, on the other hand, have had the opposite type of season. After their star running back Saquon Barkley went down early with a season-ending injury, the Giants’ season ended before it really started. With some COVID-19 issues looming this past week, starting guard Will Hernandez will be out for tonight’s game. This could be a long, long night for the young QB Daniel Jones.
I look for the Bucs to put a tremendous amount of pressure on Jones, forcing him into mistakes which could lead to a Tampa blowout victory. The Giants will have trouble scoring, and at the same time, trouble holding back Tom Brady and his potent offense.
Lay the wood with Tampa Bay.
