Spot Play in Game 4 Tonight of the World Series

Major League Baseball needs to find a way to put more emphasis on starting pitchingSpot Plays sees an opportunity tonight as the Atlanta Braves, who lead the World Series two games to one, takes on the desperate Houston Astros tonight. The Astros send veteran Zack Grienke to the mound, and the major problem is that Grienke has been struggling badly in the last month and a half. Nearly every outing by the former great has been a disaster, and it’s hard to envision him turning that around in this pressure-packed game.

The Braves, on the other hand, send an unknown Dylan Lee to the mound. The former 10th round pick has no experience whatsoever and now he has to face the big bats of the Astros.  This doesn’t figure to end well for either pitcher tonight.

For those reasons, SpotPlays.com recommends taking the over 8 1/2 runs (and over 4 1/2 runs for 5 innings) in this game.
